History of NOMMO

February 13, 2014 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

NOMMO, UCLA’s Afrikan American Newsmagazine, has a rich history and a bright future. This moderated panel discussion will explore the newly established Bunche Center NOMMO archives, as well as examine the publication’s history with both past and current writers and editors. The panel will look at NOMMO’s establishment, how its coverage (then and now) differs from other campus publications, and how NOMMO has been affected by politics (prop 209), campus climate, and technology. This event will be held in the Bunche Library & Media Center – Haines Hall 135.
