Circle of Thought Lecture

Vanessa Tyson is a visiting assistant professor in the Departments of African Ameri-can Studies and Political Science at UCLA and is this year’s IAC Visiting Scholar at the Bunche Center. Her research focuses on intersections of race, gender and class with American political institutions and policy formulation. She is completing her first book, Twists of Fate: Multiracial Coalitions and Minority Representation in the U.S. House, on multiracial coalitions in the U.S. House of Representatives and the chang-ing dynamics of marginal group politics in the United States.
