Scot Brown will discuss his forthcoming book Dis-course on Africana Studies: James Turner and Para-digms of Knowledge (Diasporic African Press, 2014). Brown is a professor of History and African American Studies at the University of California at Los Angeles and is the author of the pioneering book, Fighting For Us, a study of cultural nationalism and the Black Power movement during the 1960s.Haines Hall 135 –
