Authors’ Series Lecture

PHOTOETRY: Poetry and Photography from South Central (Figueroa Press 2013) is a collection of poetry and photography inspired by life in Los Angeles featuring the work of photographers Sam Bendall, Adam Tillman-Young, Ammer Espy, Kim Soria, and Charisse Sims. Sims is a poet, essayist and adjunct English Professor teaching Composition and Creative Writing at Cal State University Los Angeles, Long Beach City College, and Compton College and is Director of the Community Literature Initia-tive and founder of the Urban Poets Society.
