Discussing her book Megan Ming Francis is the author of Civil Rights and the Making of the Modern American State (Cambridge University Press, 2014). Francis’s work sits at the intersection of American politics, race, constitutional law, and history. Francis earned a PhD from the Department of Politics at Princeton University and a BA in Political Science and Economics from Rice University.
