Tony Awards Could Provide Historic Wins for Diverse Performers

May 4, 2016 – If the Oscars showed the glaring lack of diversity in Hollywood, this year’s Tony Award nominations highlight the diversity on Broadway. In a season filled with diverse offerings on “The Great White Way,” the 2016 Tony Awards have the potential for the first time in Tony history, to award all four musical acting categories to actors of color.
